Photos of the 6th Annual Pro-Life Stations of the Cross Downtown San Diego

Downtown San Diego – Good Friday, April 22, 2011

About 300 people showed up for the 6Th Annual Pro-Life Stations of the Cross in Downtown San Diego, nearly double the attendance from last year.  Starting outside St. Joseph Cathedral, the procession was led by a color guard of 14 Knights of Columbus, followed by Father Anthony Saroki and 5 altar boys in traditional cassock and surplus, carrying a wooden cross.  Hundreds of pro-life Catholics, including dozens of children, carried pro-life signs and small white crosses to remember the innocent unborn who have had their lives taken by abortion.  The group processed to Horton Plaza and lined up along the sidewalk, covering the whole block between Third and Fourth Avenues, and wrapping around the corner down Third Avenue.  Father Anthony Saroki led the group in a solemn Pro-Life Stations of the Cross while thousands of San Diegans witnessed a reminder that Jesus died for our sins on Good Friday, and that our society must put and end to the most serious sin of abortion.
